UDHAMPUR, May 16: Under Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan, Udhampur Police, while continuing its sustained crackdown against drug peddling, has arrested an inter-state drug peddler in backward linkage of an NDPS case and recovered heroin from his possession.
During the investigation of the case FIR No. 09/2026 U/S 8/21/22/27(A)/29 NDPS Act,of PS Majalta, one accused namely Sadiq Ali @ Sarmu S/O Lal Hussain R/O Bassa Choka, Himachal Pradesh, presently residing at Jugial, Pathankot, was arrested in backward linkage.
On his disclosure, 33 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, further investigation in the case is going on to unearth more forward and backward linkages involved in the drug network. |
