Early Times Report JAMMU, May 16: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has revised the pecuniary limits of jurisdiction of Civil Judges, enhancing the monetary value of civil suits to be heard by Civil Judges Junior Division and Senior Division across the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh. As per the notification issued by the Office of the Registrar General at Srinagar, all Civil Judges Senior Division in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh have been empowered to hear civil suits where the value does not exceed Rs 20 lakh, within the local limits of their respective jurisdiction. Similarly, all Civil Judges Junior Division have been invested with powers to hear civil suits up to the value of Rs 5 lakh, also within the local limits of their jurisdiction. |
