| Director Agriculture Jammu reviews progress of HADP, CAPEX, CSS, Apiculture and Mushroom Development Schemes | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 19: Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting regarding the implementation of HADP, CAPEX and CSS schemes, besides reviewing the physical and financial progress under the Apiculture Development Scheme and Mushroom Development Scheme, at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Jammu. The meeting was attended physically by SMS (RL) Krishan Kant, Accounts Officer Vriti Uppal, Mushroom Development Officer Jammu Raghubir Pal Kochar, Spawn Production Officer Ashu Kakoria, Assistant Entomologist Harvinder Singh, and officers from CSS and Planning Sections, while all Chief Agriculture Officers and District Officers dealing with Mushroom and Apiculture Schemes of Jammu Division participated through video conferencing. During the meeting, the Director reviewed district-wise action plans, achievements and allotments under HADP, CSS and CAPEX schemes and stressed the need for timely and effective utilization of funds to achieve the desired targets. He directed the concerned officers to strengthen the Demonstration Cum Training Centres (DCTCs) and ensure that all controlled condition cropping units under public sector remain fully functional for the benefit of mushroom growers. Emphasizing capacity building and farmer outreach, Anil Gupta instructed officers to organize regular training programmes under the Mushroom and Apiculture sectors so that modern technologies and scientific practices effectively reach the farming community. He further directed field functionaries to motivate more farmers towards mushroom cultivation and promote the production of Dhingri (Oyster) and Milky Mushroom along with Button Mushroom to diversify production and enhance farmers' income. The Director emphasized close monitoring of all developmental activities and called upon officers to work with dedication and commitment for the successful implementation of government schemes aimed at boosting agriculture and allied sectors in Jammu Division. |
