Early Times Report JAMMU, May 26: The Outreach Department of Indian Institute of Technology Jammu welcomed 115 students of Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th, along with their escorts, from R M Public School, Chowadi, Sanik Colony for an educational campus visit aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and providing exposure to advanced academic and research environments. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, Prof. Meenakshi Rajeev, and Dr. Sameer K. S. P. Students explored key laboratories and technical facilities across the campus. In the Chemistry Laboratory, the lab engineers demonstrated nylon polymer synthesis along with experiments on evaporation and condensation. At the Physics Laboratory, students learned about practical applications of physics, while the Central Workshop showcased raw material processing, fabrication, and additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques. A faculty interaction session by Dr. Angshuman Kapil inspired students to reflect on their future aspirations and make thoughtful career choices. Sharing his experiences, he encouraged them to pursue their goals with passion and clarity rather than following trends blindly. Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive learning, the visit connected classroom concepts with real-world applications, encouraging inquiry-based learning and motivating students to explore future opportunities in science, engineering, and technology. |
