DODA, June 1: Demonstrating prompt response and commitment towards public service, Doda Police successfully traced a missing person within 24 hours of receiving the complaint and reunited him safely with his family.
On May 31, 2026, a written complaint was received at Police Post Premnagar from Smt. Dimpla Devi, wife of Rohit Kumar, resident of Bhattan Chagsoo, Tehsil Bhella, District Doda, regarding the missing of her husband, Rohit Kumar (35 years).
Acting swiftly on the complaint, a missing report was entered at Police Post Premnagar vide DD No. 04 dated 31-05-2026. A dedicated police team was immediately constituted under the supervision of the Incharge Police Post Premnagar and under the overall leadership of SHO Police Station Thathri.
The team launched extensive search operations at various locations and, through sustained field efforts, timely human intervention, and technical assistance, successfully traced the missing person within 24 hours.
After completing all legal formalities, the recovered person was safely handed over to his family members. Subsequently, the missing report was closed vide DD No. 07 dated 01-06-2026.
The family members expressed their gratitude to Doda Police for the prompt action and professional efforts that led to the safe recovery of the missing person within a short span of time.
