Early Times Report

Jammu, June 7: Jammu and Kashmir BJP Spokesperson and former Vice Chairman, Balbir Ram Rattan, called on Rajya Sabha MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana and discussed the life, philosophy, and vision of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, emphasizing the continued relevance of his ideals in building an equitable and progressive society.
During his interaction, Balbir Ram Rattan said that Dr. Ambedkar was one of the greatest nation-builders of modern India who dedicated his entire life to securing social justice, equality, and dignity for every citizen. He said that Babasaheb strongly advocated the creation of a classless society where every individual would enjoy equal opportunities irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or economic background.
Balbir said that Dr. Ambedkar’s vision went far beyond constitutional safeguards and legal provisions. He believed in social transformation through education, empowerment, and economic upliftment of the weaker and marginalized sections of society. He added that the Constitution drafted under the leadership of Dr. Ambedkar continues to serve as a guiding force for India’s democratic framework and national unity.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently worked to popularize the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar and ensure that his contribution receives the recognition it deserves. The government has taken several initiatives to preserve and promote Ambedkar’s legacy and inspire younger generations through his teachings and life struggles.
Responding to the observations made by Balbir Ram Rattan, Rajya Sabha MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana said that Dr. Ambedkar’s thoughts remain highly relevant in contemporary India. He said that social harmony, equal rights, and inclusive development, which formed the core of Ambedkar’s philosophy, are essential for building a strong and united nation.
Er. Khatana said that Dr. Ambedkar envisioned an India where social discrimination would have no place and every citizen would have access to justice, education, and opportunities for growth. He stressed that public representatives and social organizations should work collectively to spread awareness about Ambedkar’s teachings among the youth.
Both leaders agreed that the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar continue to inspire millions and serve as a powerful foundation for creating a just, progressive, and classless society based on constitutional values and social equality.
BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Spokesoerson Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu and others were present during the discussion.
