JAMMU, June 10: A rusted mortar shell was found in a border village here on Wednesday and subsequently neutralised in a controlled explosion, officials said. The shell was noticed by labourers who were filling the plinth of a house in Kothey Sanian village of Bishnah on the outskirts of Jammu, with soil, they said. Following information about the explosive device, a bomb disposal squad rushed to the scene and neutralised the shell in a controlled explosion in an open field, causing no damage to life or property, they said. |
