| Legal action against tenant verification violators continue by Samba police, 18 more FIRs registered | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, June 17: Continuing its drive to ensure strict compliance with tenant verification norms and strengthen public safety measures, Samba Police has registered eighteen (18) more FIRs against house and land owners for not providing details of tenants to Police during verification drive conducted within the jurisdictions of Police Station Samba and Bari Brahmana. The verification process was initiated by the Samba Police for the outsiders staying as tenants and domestic helpers. During the drive, eleven (11) cases were registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and seven (07) cases were registered at Police Station Samba under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). It is pertinent to mention here that District Magistrate Samba has ordered for the mandatory Police verification of the tenants. Despite these directives, the concerned house and land owners failed to comply, leading to legal action.
