MLA Thakur Randhir Singh leads International Yoga Day celebrations in Kalakote

Kalakote, June 21: International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and participation at PWD Dak Bungalow, Kalakote. The event was attended by Kalakote-Sunderbani MLA Thakur Randhir Singh, officials of the Sub-Divisional Administration, employees, and a large number of local residents.
A mass yoga session was conducted during the programme, where participants practiced various yoga postures and breathing exercises, spreading the message of health, fitness, and well-being.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Thakur Randhir Singh said that yoga is India’s priceless heritage that has inspired millions across the globe to adopt a healthier lifestyle. He emphasized that yoga helps individuals achieve physical strength, mental peace, and emotional balance.
He stated that yoga is an effective way to overcome stress, improve fitness, and build a positive outlook towards life. He encouraged people to make yoga a regular part of their daily routine.
Thakur Randhir Singh particularly urged the youth to embrace yoga and contribute towards building a healthier and stronger nation.
He added that yoga promotes discipline, confidence, and inner strength, which are essential for personal and national development.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to practice yoga regularly and spread awareness about its benefits across society.
