VIJAYPUR, July 1: BJP Jammu & Kashmir Vice President Rekha Mahajan today hailed the completion of 11 years of the Digital India initiative, saying that the programme has emerged as a symbol of technology-driven governance, transparency and empowerment of citizens.
Addressing gathering during awareness programme on 'Digital India' at Vijaypur Mandal organised by Mandal President Dheeraj Sharma, Rekha said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Digital India has changed the way citizens connect with government services, enabling faster delivery, digital payments, direct benefit transfers and greater ease of living.
She said India's digital transformation has given a new identity to the nation globally and has strengthened the vision of a developed and self-reliant India. She added that technology has become a powerful tool for inclusive growth, reaching people across villages, youth, women and weaker sections of society.
"Digital India is not just a government initiative, but a revolution that has brought governance closer to people and created new opportunities for every section of society," Rekha Mahajan said.
further stated that the last 12 years of the Modi government have reflected a commitment towards development, welfare and good governance, with digital innovation playing a key role in building a modern India.
