In recognition of these remarkable achievements, Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh hosted a High Tea in honour of the University's international medal-winning sportspersons at the Vice-Chancellor's Office today. Addressing the gathering, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated the players for their outstanding performances at various international competitions and appreciated their discipline, dedication, and relentless hard work in bringing laurels to both the University and the nation. He expressed immense pride over the players' success in securing medals at prestigious events, including the Asian Shooting Championships and ISSF World Cup competitions. Prof. Karamjeet Singh observed that the University's consistent success in sports reflects a healthy sporting ecosystem built on quality coaching, institutional support, and the determination of athletes to excel at the highest level. He said GNDU remains committed to providing every possible opportunity and support to young sportspersons so that they can compete confidently on global platforms. The Vice-Chancellor also congratulated the three University shooters who have been selected to represent India at the Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Japan in October 2026.
