Early Times Report REASI, July 3: Continuing its sustained campaign under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, District Police Reasi has registered three separate cases against drug abusers during routine patrolling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Katra. During patrolling at Railway Road, Counter No. 2, and Varun Chowk, Katra, police parties noticed three individuals in a suspected state of drug intoxication. The persons were identified as Deepak S/O Raju R/O Serwad, Katra, Sumit S/O Kewal R/O Serwad, Katra, and Chinda Sandhu S/O David Sandhu R/O Akhnoor, Jammu. All three individuals were apprehended from different places at different timings and subjected to Rapid Multi Drug Urine Tests at CHC Katra, where they tested positive for drug consumption. Accordingly, FIR Nos. 218/2026, 219/2026, and 220/2026 under Section 8/27 of the NDPS Act have been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is underway. District Police Reasi remains committed to taking strict action against drug abuse and appeals to the public to cooperate in making society drug-free under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan. |
