Early Times Report JAMMU, July 6: Special Crime Wing (SCW), Crime Branch Jammu has registered a case against an accused person for allegedly cheating an individual on the false promise of securing him a job in the Railway Department. The case was registered on the basis of a written complaint submitted by the complainant with the allegations that he was induced by Abdul Razaq Tantray, resident of Baramulla, on the assurance that a Railway Department job would be arranged for him in exchange for money. During preliminary verification, it surfaced that the complainant had allegedly paid money through bank transactions as well as cash, to the accused. The complainant was allegedly provided fake documents, including a roll number slip and an appointment-related receipt, to make the assurances appear genuine. However, neither was the promised job provided nor was the amount returned. The complainant further alleged that when he demanded the return of his money, he was avoided and threatened. On the basis of the preliminary verification, a formal FIR has been registered at Police Station Special Crime Wing, Crime Branch Jammu under the relevant provisions of law. Investigation into the case has been taken up to ascertain the full facts, identify the role of all persons involved and take appropriate legal action. |
