Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 12: Panun Kashmir convened a high-level organizational meeting today to finalize logistical arrangements and review preparedness for its upcoming peaceful demonstration at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, scheduled for July 20, 2026, at 12:30 PM. The comprehensive review session, attended by central office-bearers, state coordinators, and volunteer committees, mapped out strategies for transportation, accommodation, security liaison, media outreach, and participant facilitation, Leadership emphasized that the entire mobilization will be conducted in an exemplary, disciplined, and constitutionally compliant manner.
Addressing the core political objectives of the demonstration, Tito Ganju, Chairman of Panun Kashmir, delivered a sharp critique of the institutional apathy surrounding the community's plight. He stated directly that the critical issue of the genocide and exile of Kashmiri Hindus has been systematically ignored by India's political class for thirty-six years. He stressed that the organization is marching to Jantar Mantar to tell the Parliament loud and clear that justice must come first, adding that the nation cannot continue to ignore their pain while discussing shifting constitutional arrangements, and that no durable solution or discussion on Kashmir's political future can occur without addressing accountability for the 1990 exodus.
Ganju reiterated Panun Kashmir's unyielding demand for official, legislative recognition of what the organization characterizes as the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus. He emphasized the necessity of a separate Homeland within the Union of India to facilitate a secure, dignified, and sustainable resettlement. He issued a special call to the younger generation of the displaced community to turn out in large numbers to uphold their democratic right to peaceful public expression.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Agnishekhar, Convenor of Panun Kashmir, stated that the proposed gathering is a democratic assertion aimed at forcing the unresolved issues of Kashmiri Hindus back into the national consciousness. He appealed to all citizens committed to historical truth and human rights to join the demonstration and stand in solidarity.
General Secretary Kuldeep Raina informed the executive body that dedicated volunteer committees have been deployed across various states to manage reception, transport, and participant assistance. Organizing Secretary Behari Lal Kaul further noted that formal invitations have been extended to a broad spectrum of civil society, including jurists, academicians, historians, public intellectuals, youth organizations, and nationalist groups, to ensure a robust, multi-layered national engagement on the issue of justice and rehabilitation.
Concluding the meeting, the leadership of Panun Kashmir issued a collective, urgent appeal to all Homelanders, members of the displaced community, and conscientious citizens across India to assemble at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, on July 20, 2026, at 12:30 PM. The organization reaffirmed its absolute commitment to pursuing recognition, accountability, and a separate Homeland through entirely peaceful, constitutional, and democratic means.
