| Samba police nabbed 2 drug peddlers with 8 grams heroin like substance | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, July 22: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered approximately 08 grams heroin-like substance from their possession within the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
A team of Police Station Vijaypur during vehicle checking at Naka AIIMS Vijaypur, intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK20C-5763 which was coming from Rakh Barotain side and moving towards Vijaypur side. During checking, approximately 08 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from the possession of rider and pillion rider of the motorcycle.
The drug peddlers identified as Mohit Sharma S/o Dharam Paul Sharma R/o Kun Daroorian tehsil Katra district Reasi and Arjun Singh S/o Ashok Singh R/o Chalwal Aghar Jitto tehsil Katra district Reasi have been arrested. The contraband item along with the motorcycle has also been seized.
A case FIR No 124/2026 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started. |
