Early Times Report JAMMU, July 31: The NCC Senior Wing of GGM Science College, Jammu, successfully organized a Tree Plantation Drive under the theme "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" as part of the Social Service and Community Development (SSCD) activity. The initiative aimed to promote environmental sustainability and inspire students to contribute towards a greener and healthier future. The programme was conducted under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of GGM Science College, Jammu, under the guidance of 8 J&K Girls Battalion, NCC, Jammu, and was coordinated by Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Lt (Dr.) Shafia Saleem. NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive by planting saplings of various species across the college campus, reaffirming their commitment to environmental conservation and social responsibility. To further strengthen the message of the campaign, cadets also prepared informative and creative posters highlighting the importance of tree plantation, biodiversity, and environmental protection. These posters served as an effective medium to spread awareness among students and encourage collective action towards safeguarding nature.
