Jammu, Aug 8: Reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) J&K, Jammu under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary JKAS Director, SCERT J&K and able guidance of Prof (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor Joint Director- SCERT J&K , organized a Two-Day Webinar titled “Shiksha Ka Naya Adhyae” to commemorate six remarkable years of NEP 2020 under the national theme “Six Years of NEP 2020: Transforming Education for Viksit Bharat@2047” w.e.f. 7th-8th August,2026. The webinar aimed to highlight the transformative vision of NEP 2020 and its role in reshaping the educational landscape through learner-centric, inclusive, equitable and holistic approaches to education. The programme brought together school leaders, teacher educators and students from five schools each from all ten districts of the Jammu Division to reflect on the transformative journey of NEP 2020 while charting a future-ready roadmap for quality, inclusive and holistic education. On the first day, participants from five districts (Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Reasi and Samba) actively participated in the webinar, while representatives from five other districts (Jammu, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch and Ramban) joined the programme on the second day. In the inaugural proceedings, Mr. Vinod Bhat, Associate Professor (Head, AU-II) SCERT Jammu welcomed the participants and highlighted the significance of six years of NEP 2020 as a landmark journey of educational transformation, emphasizing that the policy has fundamentally redefined the purpose of education by empowering teachers, fostering multidisciplinary learning and preparing responsible global citizens rooted in constitutional values. |
