Vijaypur, Aug 8: On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, the NSS Unit (Khidmat) of Government Degree College, Vijaypur organized a “Signature Campaign on Swachhata Abhiyaan” on the college campus. Guided by the core NSS motto, “Not Me But You,” the initiative aimed to foster a culture of cleanliness, community service, and civic responsibility among youth and faculty members. Principal Dr. Sanjeet Kaur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her address, Dr. Sanjeet Kaur commended the enthusiasm of the NSS volunteers. She formally launched the Signature Campaign by placing the first signature on the dedicated pledge banner, reaffirming the college’s commitment to a Swachh Bharat. She emphasized that keeping our surroundings clean is a fundamental tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country. Dr. Arti Sharma, NSS Program Officer, highlighted the core objectives of the Swachhata Abhiyaan, urging students to incorporate sustainable waste management practices and cleanliness habits into their daily lives. She stated that the signature campaign serves as a public declaration of accountability, empowering every individual to act as an ambassador of change in their local communities. The event was graced by Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Dr. Manoj Heer, Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, Prof. Meetu Sharma, Mr. Amit Sharma, Dr. Anoop Singh, Prof. Sonia Devi, Prof. Pooja Gupta, Prof. Anu Bala.
