Katra, Aug 8: Ms. Himani Gupta, daughter of Sh. Rajesh Gupta and Smt. Rita Gupta, resident of Ramkot, Kathua, has been declared qualified for the award of the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry. She carried out her doctoral research on the topic “Development of Multi- component Strategies for the Synthesis of Novel Heterocyclic Compounds using -oxodithioesters” under the supervision of Dr. Anil Kumar, Associate Professor and Head, School of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU). During her Ph.D. program, Ms. Himani Gupta published her research contributions in reputable SCI-indexed journals and presented her work at several national and international conferences, demonstrating the scientific merit and relevance of her research.The scholar expresses her sincere gratitude to the School of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), for providing necessary facilities, guidance and support throughout the course of her research.
