Early Times Report REASI, Aug 20: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Reasi, Krishan Lal, today inaugurated a newly established restaurant at Zero Morh, Talwara, set up by beneficiary Bharat Bhushan under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) through the Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Reasi. The restaurant has been established with financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh under the PMEGP scheme, aimed at promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship among local youth. The ADDC highlighted the importance of government schemes in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and encouraging entrepreneurship. He urged eligible youth and aspiring entrepreneurs to come forward and avail themselves of the benefits of PMEGP and other self-employment schemes being implemented by the government. The ADDC appreciated the efforts of the concerned departments in facilitating the establishment of the unit and called for wider awareness so that more people can benefit from such schemes and become self-reliant. CPO Narinder Kumar, District Officer, KVIB, Narayan Dass, concerned officers and senior citizens were also present on the occasion. |
