| ADC Bhaderwah reviews arrangements for Manimahesh, Kailash Yatra | | | Early Times Report BHADERWAH, Aug 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal today conducted a detailed inspection of the Bhaderwah-Chamba road leading towards the revered Manimahesh Shrine in Bharmour, Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, to review arrangements for the safe movement of pilgrims. Among those present were Tehsildar Kamal Preet Singh, Assistant Engineer (PWD R&B) Muneeb, alongside other civil and police officials. During the inspection, the team assessed road conditions and reviewed transit facilities along the route for pilgrims undertaking the Manimahesh Yatra. Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar Bhutyal also inspected Bheja village and Padri Meadows, key halt points where pilgrims stay overnight before proceeding towards Padri Meadows and entering Himachal Pradesh. The ADC directed PWD (R&B) and Jal Shakti Department to address road and water requirements on priority, ensuring the route remains safe and motorable with adequate water supply. The Chair stressed that the officers concerned must take prompt corrective measures and maintain close inter-departmental coordination. The Additional Deputy Commissioner also reviewed administrative preparedness for the upcoming Kailash Yatra, with preparations underway across Bhaderwah. The ADC directed the departments concerned to ensure the timely completion of all arrangements, focussing particularly on road connectivity, drinking water, sanitation and other essential amenities along pilgrimage routes. The ADC emphasised that all departments must work in synergy to facilitate smooth movement for devotees during both the ongoing Manimahesh Yatra and the upcoming Kailash Yatra, directing field officers to remain vigilant and swiftly address any issues affecting public convenience. |
