Early Times Report REASI, Oct 10: On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Indian Army organised a lecture on mental health awareness at Makhidhar, District Reasi with the aim of promoting mental well-being, encouraging a positive outlook towards life and highlighting the importance of emotional resilience. During the lecture, participants were sensitised to various aspects of mental health, including stress management, anxiety, depression and emotional well-being. The importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, adopting positive coping mechanisms and recognising early signs of mental distress was also emphasised. The programme highlighted the significance of open communication, family support and community participation in promoting mental well-being. Participants were encouraged to overcome the stigma associated with mental health concerns and to seek professional assistance whenever required. The initiative also focused on motivating youth and community members to adopt healthy lifestyle practices, maintain social connections and support individuals facing emotional difficulties. The programme reflected the Indian Army's continued commitment towards community welfare, health awareness and youth engagement, while contributing towards building a more aware, resilient and supportive society. |
