Paramedical students join Apni Party Student Union in Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 10: In a boost to its student outreach, several paramedical students today joined the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Student Union at the party headquarters in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, in a joining programme organised under the leadership of Tableen Singh Boparai, Provincial President of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Student Union.The programme was held in the presence of Manjit Singh, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, Jammu Province, who welcomed the students into the party's student wing and emphasised the importance of constructive student participation in public life.
On the occasion, Manjit Singh announced key appointments to strengthen the party's student organisation and expand its engagement with students across educational institutions. Sharafat Ali Khan was nominated President of the Paramedical Wing, while Zahid Khan and Abhishek Rana were appointed Vice Presidents. Saddam Choudhary was nominated General Secretary of the Paramedical Wing.
Singh also announced appointments to strengthen the party's student presence in colleges. Abhi Nandan Manhas was nominated Vice President of the Apni Party Student Union at GGM Science College, while Ankur Sharma was appointed President of the Apni Party Student Union's Polytechnic College Wing.
Addressing the gathering, Singh stressed that students were an important force in shaping society and that their concerns, aspirations and developmental needs deserved serious attention. He emphasised the need to provide young people with opportunities to develop leadership qualities, participate in democratic processes and contribute constructively to public affairs. He said student organisations should serve as a bridge between educational institutions and the wider political and social system by raising genuine student concerns and promoting dialogue on issues affecting their academic and professional futures. Singh also underlined the importance of strengthening the party's student wing through dedicated leadership, active participation and regular interaction with students across different streams of education.
The joining programme was attended by prominent party leaders, including Abhay Bakaya, District President, Jammu Urban; Ajaz Kazmi, Provincial Secretary and In-charge of the Trade Wing; Pavneet Kour, Provincial President of the Women's Wing; Neelam Gupta, Senior Vice President, Jammu Urban District; and Shivam Choudhary, District Jammu Youth President.
Tableen Singh Boparai, who organised the programme, highlighted the importance of building a strong and representative student organisation capable of addressing the concerns of young people, particularly those pursuing professional and technical education.The programme concluded with an emphasis on expanding student participation, strengthening the party's organisational network in educational institutions and encouraging young people to contribute to social development and public welfare.
