| Vijay Saraf nominated as Member of the State Managing Committee of Indian Red Cross Society, J&K UT | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 10: In recognition of his dedicated service to society, commitment to humanitarian causes, and significant contributions towards sports promotion and social welfare, Shri Vijay Saraf has been nominated as a Member of the State Managing Committee of the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory.
The constitution of the State Managing Committee has been undertaken in pursuance of the resolution adopted at the First Annual General Body Meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society, J&K UT, held on 31st August 2026, under the chairmanship of the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, who is the Hon'ble President of the Indian Red Cross Society, J&K UT, and in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Indian Red Cross Society Branch Committee Rules, 2017.
Vijay Saraf is a well-known sports administrator and social worker who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to public service and community welfare. He currently serves as the President of the Wushu Association of Jammu & Kashmir, Senior Vice President of the Wushu Federation of India, and Patron of the Indian Red Cross Society. He is also the Honorary Secretary of the prestigious Amar Singh Club, Jammu, where he has been actively involved in promoting sports, improving member facilities, and supporting various social and community-oriented initiatives.
His long-standing association with sports bodies and social organisations reflects his dedication to youth development, humanitarian service, and the welfare of society. Through his active participation in social causes and institutional responsibilities, he has continued to contribute towards building a stronger and more inclusive community.
His induction into the State Managing Committee is a recognition of his experience, commitment, and continued efforts in the fields of sports administration and social service.
