Wrong” steps put bureaucrat in trouble ** He has allegedly withheld salaries of 10 Xens for 8 months, promoted “blue-eyed” AEEs of general category against reserved catecom quota
2/10/2015 11:07:58 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 9 It is the case of a J&K bureaucrat allegedly committing one wrong after the other in his capacity as the commissioner of a department by following his own personal ways and not the norms. Fifteen AEEs (assistant executive engineers) of hydraulic wing of I&FC (irrigation and flood control) department were to be promoted in January 2014 as Xens (executive engineers) against available vacancies but the process was delayed till June 2014 due to the reason that 10 “blue-eyed” AEEs of the state administration, who figured from serial No 16 to 25 in the AEEs’ seniority list, figured nowhere in the promotion list, a top government official alleged. The delay of...

Syed Junaid Hashmi2/10/2015 11:01:40 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 9: National Conference (NC)-Congress coalition government is credited with virtually destroying the school education department and leaving the administrative as well as academic set-up in complete shambles. A young, upright and bright IAS officer Simrandeep Singh has been entrusted with the job of resurrecting the department in Jammu region but it is not known for how long new democratically elected government as and when it takes over would allow him to continue as Director School Education (DSE) Jammu. All the democratically elected governments have a tendency of shuttling officers here and there when they take over. If the manner in which NC-Cong coa...

G S Asgotra2/10/2015 11:01:12 AM

2/10/2015 10:59:38 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 9: Utter failure of the BJP to rope in even a single Independent MLA from Kashmir and Ladakh region has authenticated that "Kashmir Policy" being adopted by BJP's national general secretary Ram Madhav has back-fired. This `boldness' did not go well with the Saffron brigade. A complaint has been filed against the Engineer for violating election rules. The BJP complaint and the terms he set for voting for Azad will help him score a few more political points in the Valley.
