3/4/2020 10:59:16 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Mar 4: Transition of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State into a Union Territory has paved the way for application of central laws into J&K UT. This has also provided teeth to the central agencies to investigate cases related to terrorism, graft or any scam in the newly carved out UT without seeking any consent from the administration. An observer while talking to Early Times said that anti-graft agencies becoming powerful in Jammu and Kashmir seem to have helped in curbing the corruption to some extent. "Complaints of corruption have witnessed a decline. The culture in the government offices is changing fast and it appears that officials are taking their jobs seriously," the observer added. He said prior to J&K's reorganization on August 5, 2019, situation in J&K was completely different. "Politicians, who ruled J&K in the past made tall promises about wiping out corruption from the system, but their promises proved to be hoax as nothing changed on the ground," he added. The observer said that during the past few months, Anti Corruption Bureau of Jammu...
