Early Times Report kathua, Apr 16: The eight people accused of raping and killing an eight-year-old pleaded not guilty and asked the judge for a narco analysis test as the trial into the case, which has become the focal point of outrage across the country, began here today. Seven of the eight accused were produced before District and Sessions Judge Sanjay Gupta, who asked the state Crime Branch to give them copies of the chargesheet and fixed April 28 as the next date of hearing. Early Times Report srinagar, Apr 16: In another embarrassment for the ruling party, a senior BJP leader on Monday said that Kuthua case cannot be referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation by the government. This is in contradiction to BJP's demand in Jammu seeking CBI probe into the rape and murder of Kuthua girl. Agencies New Delhi, Apr 16: The Supreme Court today stayed an order of the National Green Tribunal imposing a cost of Rs 50 lakh on the Jammu and Kashmir government for not finalising a rehabilitation plan for the owners of horses and mules, who have been barred from plying from Katra to the Vaishno Devi temple. The apex court said no coercive action shall be taken till it decides the appeal of the state government.
