Early Times Report POONCH, July 28: Lakhs of rupees have been withdrawn on fake bills for MGNREGA that were never executed in Panchayat Kangra of Mendhar Block, source said here today. They said in year 2017-18 the money was withdrawn against MGNREGA having work code 1411055011/RC/2106077 cost RS Ten Lakh . The bill was submitted for construction of culvert under this code . In the bill the cost of Bajri used for culvert was shown as 69 trucks @Rs 5000 per truck which amount to RS 345000 and cost of cement bags used in the same work was shown as 1169 bags @Rs 500 /bag which amounts to RS 584500 and the total amount of the bill was mentioned as RS 929500 . As per MGNREGA guide lines the labour charges were must to mention in the bill but same was not mentioned and money withdrawn for the work was nowhere in the sight sources further informed . Early Times Report Jammu, July 28: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday said it has registered a case against several persons, including some officials of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) here, for illegally issuing Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) licenses to ineligible candidates for alleged pecuniary gains. The case was registered after a joint surprise check was conducted in the RTO, Jammu, on the basis of a source report that officers in league with brokers or touts issue HMV driving licenses to ineligible candidates against huge monetary considerations ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 per license, the ACB said in a statement here.
