Whereas it's an old complaint in Jammu and Kashmir state that the Personal Security Officers provided by police to "influential people" are made to do odd jobs like driving of vehicles, in the latest, the PSOs are seen working as cameramen during political rallies. One such incident has surfaced on social media. It shows that at a political rally organized by the Peoples Democratic Party in Bandipora area of north Kashmir, the PSO hung his weapon on his back.
