Early Times Report Srinagar, Sept 2: A non-Kashmiri was shot and injured in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning, police said. The injured identified as Muneerul Islam, a labourer from West Bengal, was fired upon at Ugergund Newa. His condition is said to be stable. Terrorists fired upon one outside labourer Muneerul Islam son of Abdul Karim of West Bengal at Ugergund Newa in Pulwama. Agencies New Delhi, Sept 2: All women central government employees will be entitled for 60 days special maternity leave in case of death of a child at or shortly after birth, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said today. The decision has been taken keeping in view the potential emotional trauma caused due to stillbirth or death of a child soon after birth, which has a far-reaching impact on the mother's life, it said. Agencies New Delhi, Sept 2: The border guarding force BSF today said it has developed a tear gas shell-dropping drone system, which could be very handy in controlling protesters and rioters by police forces across the country. A senior BSF official said, the “drone tear smoke launcher” can be used for launching these shells from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone and it “will be a potential force multiplier for the security forces engaged in maintaining law & order in different parts of the country. Agencies Kochi, Sept 2: India got its first indigenously designed and built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant on Friday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioning the warship that put India into a select league of countries with domestic capability to develop such large vessels. PM Modi unveiled a plaque to mark the induction of INS Vikrant, named after its predecessor that played a crucial role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, into the Navy.
