Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 4: Though BJP has a battery of spokespersons who were appointed last month, there is total lack of coordination in party leadership with each spokesperson coming out with daily statements to score over the others.

And to outwit each other every spokesman is coming out with daily statements making even difficult for the media to choose which to use and which not.
According to sources, due to lack of coordination there are sometimes statements on same issue by two to three spoke...
| | Cong, NC a spent force in Kashmir | PDP's electoral chances | | Rustam
JAMMU, Sept 4: The PDP, which led in about 40 out of 46 Assembly segments in Kashmir in the Lok Sabha election, is likely to win maximum number of seats in the Valley. As for the Congress, it has little support-base. At best, it has some influence in a few pockets in 3 to 4 Assembly constituencies. It is virtually on the verge of extinction. It has no leader worth his name who could inspire confidence in the Congress' demoralized rank and file. Its leadership is divided into three groups, with their leaders pulling in different directions. But more than that, the people across the State describe Congress as the "B-team" of the Kashmiri parties, as it keeps all of them in a good humo...

The four major parties are the ruling National Conference (NC) and the Congress and the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The reports suggest that the manifesto committees would submit their draft manifestos to their party leadership by the end of this month or latest by October 15.
It is not difficult to imagine what the Kashmir-based parties and the Kashmir-centric parties would promise to their respective constituencies to win them over. They would...
