TOP STORY OF THE DAY
J&K babus out to ‘sabotage’ PM Modi’s plans for poor and needy
PMAY set to turn into flop show, to meet target, Govt has to build 128K houses in 6 months, 718 every day
9/7/2021 11:39:53 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 7: Bureaucrats in Jammu and Kashmir seem to be hell bent upon making the mockery of the system by putting impediments in the plans envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build “Naya J&K.” Officials messing up centrally funded scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a glaring example of the failures of the UT administration. The implementation of this scheme was recently reflected when a report was tabled, underlining the mismatch between the claims and actual position on the ground. After J&K’s transition into a Union Territory Prime Minister Modi has made every possible attempt to turn J&K into a “Super State” but the helmsmen are out to spoil the broth. Sources divulged that the J&K administration was asked by the Central Government to share the actual picture about the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) - a scheme under which houses for the economically downtrodden are built at the expense of the government exchequer. However, Jammu and Kashmir as per the latest inputs is becoming the worst performing territory in...

9/7/2021 11:39:23 PM
