RSS leader visits Jammu, takes feedback of prevailing situation | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 15: Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh(RSS) has deputed a senior leader to the State to take the account of the ground situation. Sources said a senior leader of RSS was on three days visit of the State to assess the ground situation in the trouble torn State and gather the public opinion on various issues confronting the people in the State. Sources said the RSS leader who is in charge of North India region met senior functionaries of the Sangh, some social activists, media persons and members of business community and held detailed discussion on prevailing law and order situation and Pak sponsored terrorism in the State. Sources said the members of media fraternity, intellectuals and social cum political activists in the State termed the holding of Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in the State a good step of Modi Government and victory for democracy. Sources said the open defiance by N C leader Junaid Matoo to NC leadership which gave the poll boycott call has revealed that party activists we're not happy with the decision of the party. The RSS leader was apprised that there was such a revolt in two mainstream parties that their activists contested the ULB elections as proxy candidates. The RSS leader was given feedback of various development projects taken up in hand by the State Government after the imposition of Governor's rule. Feedback was given to the RSS leader about the game changer projects including signing of historical agreement on Shahpur Kandi , sanction of Ujh multipurpose project, Akhnoor road, national carridoor from Delhi to Vaishno Devi, Devika conservation, AIIMS and many other projects for the State. Though terming the action against terrorists and Separatist by present Government a good step taken for first time in last 29 years the RSS leader was asked that the people Kashmir are ready to confront the terrorists and Separatist provided Government ensures security to them. |
