Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 15: The mystery over the non registration FIR in a rape case involving an employee of Handloom department Kishtwar and his accomplice has deepeedn as even after three days since the victim lodged a written complaint at Police Station Kishtwar, no case has been registered against the accused.
Besides, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has maintained silence over the misuse of government office in Kishtwar District situated within the premises of New DC Office Complex Kishtwar, where the teenage girl, a college student was raped.
The sources inform the "Early Times" that though the accused was arrested by Kishtwar police soon after the compliant was filled by the rape victim , but some politically influential people including the family of the accused had started pressurizing the girl to marry the accused. The sources said that a senior politician from Kishtwar is in talks with victim's family.
The sources said that the victim at initial stage was reluctant to accept the marriage proposal but later the girl and her family agreed to the said proposal with some conditions according to which, the victim girl demanded written assurance in the form of court agreement that the accused will not abandon her after she withdrew her complaint.
The sources said that the family members of the girl also wanted cash and property security from the accused family so that she could not be cheated in future.
The sources said that the victim had refused to withdraw the complaint till all the demands were accepted and till the accused deleted all the objectionable videos and photos on the bases of which the accused was blackmailing her.
Meanwhile the Assistant Director Handloom Kishtwar has initiated inquiry into the misuse of office premises to carry out the shameful act of rape.
As reported by "Early Times", the teenage girl (name withheld) 3 days ago file a written complaint before Station House Police Officer Kishtwar alleging rape.
She said that the accused taking the advantage of her innocence took her to a hotel in Jammu and committed sexual intercourse on her. He captured her videos and photographs and continued to blackmail her during all these years till she got the courage and inspiration from #MeToo# campaign and decided to file a rape case against the accused.
She said that accused called her to his office (Office of Assistant Director Handloom) after 4 PM where he committed rape on her, while his accomplice also constantly threatened her to share her photos and videos on social media incase she raised the voice.
