| Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrates Grandparents Day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 10: Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated Grandparents Day, in which grandparents of Kindergarten students participated with zeal and enthusiasm.
The day is celebrated to strengthen the bond between grandparents and their grandchildren. The programme commenced with lightning of lamp by chief guest, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC, Guest of honour Surinder Choudhary , Councillor ward no- 29 and Surinder Sharma Chairman School . Founder and President Nat Manch , Tarun Sharma and Chairman Nat Manch & Principal LMPS , Madhu Sharma were the special guests.
Programme included a song performance by the students of UKG, Skit was directed and designed by Seema Anand from Nat Manch and ' Circle Time ' demonstration by the students Ist and 2nd, games for grandparents. Gifts were distributed to the winners. There was a photo session for grandparents along with their grandchildren. Chief guest Chander Mohan Gupta highlighted the importance of family bonding and requested the gathering to avoid using tobacco and alcohol in front of children and grandchildren.He advised everyone to give healthy diet to the children and help them grow in all spheres. Earlier, Guest of honour , Surinder Choudhary speaking on the programme, grandparents are the greatest support system of a family and he requested them to give quality time to grandchildren.
A PowerPoint presentation was also displayed, highlighting the glimpses of activities conducted in Prep wing of the school. |
