Transfer policy continues to be violated

Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 10: The Higher Education department has continued to reward some blue-eyed professors by giving them their choicest postings in total violation of transfer policy, even during Governor's rule.
According to the recently issued transfer orders of the Principals of Government Degree Colleges (GDCs) some influential professors were adjusted in city areas, whereas non influential people were thrown to far flung areas.
Prof PK Sharma was posted at SPMR College Jammu but has been transferred to GDC Kathua (girls), after only 8-9 months of stay. Before joining at SPMR College, Dr PK Sharma was posted at GDC Mahore, which was in a remote area but once again, he was transferred prematurely in violation of transfer policy, according to which a professor has to stay two years in city colleges.
Prof Kulwant Kour has been transferred from GDC Women Kathua and has been attached to Directorate of Rashtriya Uchhtar Shiksha Abhiyaan (RUSA) Jammu. She was earlier posted at GDC Mahanpur but had managed to get the order modified and had posted at GDC Kathua but once again after serving there for 8-9 months, she has been attached to RUSA directorate. The attachment at RUSA directorate simply means, to stay idle at their residence and get salary of over 1.50 Lakhs salary.
Mushtaq Lone has been shifted from GDC Bemina to GDC Women Kupwara and against his post Prof. Nasreen Amaan has been posted. Earlier Prof. Nasreen Amaan was posted in some rural college, where she had not joined and she had got her order modified and was attached to RUSA Srinagar. After spending one year at RUSA, now Mustaq Lone was prematurely transferred and Prof. Nasreen Amaan was adjusted at his post.
Prof Bashir Ahmed Mir has been shifted from GDC Pulwama to GDC Dooru and his posting was almost for one and half year. Earlier, Prof. Mir had been posted in Nowshera, Gool and other far flung colleges and once again he was shifted to Dooru.
Similar is the case of Dr Asaram posted at GDC Bani for more than six years. He was posted at GDC Kathua but merely for few months after serving at GDC Bani for six years but within few months, he was retransferred to GDC Bani.
In Women College Pulwama and DH Pora, most junior incharge Principals have been posted whereas senior Professors, who have been confirmed Principals have been ignored while postings. "The elected governments could have compulsions to make their political workers and bureaucrats happy for getting various benefits in return but in Governor rule also, same policy has been followed which is most unfortunate" a professor said.
