Govt recruited 3658 Headmasters, Subject teachers against approved target of 4318 No respect to MHRD Guidelines 7/22/2014 10:47:21 PM Bivek Mathur Jammu, July 22: In utter disrespect of the guidelines issued by Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), School Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir has failed to recruit the strength of Headmasters and Teachers in newly upgraded schools of Jammu and Kashmir. As per figures available with Early Times for the approved strength and recruitment of Headmasters and Teachers in newly upgraded school of Jammu and Kashmir as on May 26, 2014, for the last six years from 2009-10 to 2014-15, the state has recruited just 3658 headmasters and subject teachers against the set target of 4318 and that too in the single year-20012-13 respectively. In the year 2009-10, for 69 newly upgraded schools 69 was the strength of Headmasters approved and 483 was the mark for subject teachers making a sub total of 552 but shamefully, government recruited no headmaster and subject teachers. Carrying forward its culture, in the year 2010-11, 182 schools were approved with similar strength for the Headmasters and 1274 strength of school teachers making a sub total of 1456 but in a sad state of affairs, the strength was again zero as far as recruitment is concerned. Further in the year 2011-12, 275 schools and headmasters were approved to be recruited with 1375 school teachers but again it was failure of the government that no staff was recruited. In the year 2012-13, no school and staff was approved following state government's failure to fulfill the set targets, it recruited 3658 staff members in a single attempt. Similarly no staff was approved in the next year and hence recruitment was again zero. This year i.e. 2014-15, 110 was the approved strength of headmasters in 110 newly upgraded school and 550 was the strength of subject teachers making a sub total of 660 but again the recruitment is zero making a total recruitment of 3658 out of 4318 strength.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
