JAMMU, July 22: Irked over erratic power supply in Jammu City, People's Democratic Party (PDP) today staged protest against Power Development Department (PDD) here at Qasim Nagar. As per press release, several locals of Qassim Nagar area led by Vikram Singh, Rafiq Malik, Chaman Angral, Nirmal Kour, Surinder Singh, Vicky, Ajay Raina, Ritesh Mahajan, several children, women and others raised slogans against the PDD for their apathy towards the people of the Jammu who are facing huge difficulty in this hot summer season. Vikram Singh District Vice President PDP Jammu informed that people of Qasim Nagar reeling under complete blackout from last night as the transformer of the areas got damaged.
He added that despite of repeated requests to Chief Engineer PDD, Xen PDD but authorities failed to restore the electricity in the area. |
