Jammu, Sept 2:State VHP Patron Dr. Ramakant Dubey appealed President of India, being Supreme Commander of Indian Forces to kindly use his powers to safeguard the demoralization of Indian Forces deployed especially in Jammu & Kashmir. According to press release, Dr Dubey said that the latest example in the state was to ask the army for vacating its "Firing Range" areas like Toshmadaan in Badgam, Kaleth Nagar and Nandni in Jammu, Khumbathang in Kargil and Portagal under the pressure of separatists/antinational elements. "State Government has perhaps forgotten that it is because of army and other security forces deployed state against all ordeals/hostile climates that they enjoy sound sleeps and all other luxuries of life", he said. He further said that it was learnt that there are 66 such "Firing Range" in the country amongst which 6 at present are in J&K. "Keeping in view the geographical and political conditions of the state much more "Firing Ranges" are required to be established. Lakhs of kanals of state land has already been illegally encroached upon by the so called "Mafia" at the instance of politicians/administrators", the VHP chief said. |
