SIT constituted, accused sent to JIC | Firing at Shiv Temple | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 9: While SSP, Jammu, Uttam Chand today constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe into the circumstances that led two youth to open fire at a Shiv Temple at Trikuta Nagar, the duo were today sent to Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC). The accused were sent to JIC for their detailed interrogation to find out if they had any militant connection, according to police sources. Syed Shah Bukhari (KC Law College student), son of Dr Mumtaz Shah, and Yasir Hussain Shah, son of Shabir Ahmad Shah, were in a car when they had on November 6 last fired at the Shiv Temple situated off the Trikuta Nagar Express Way, which connects railways with Chhani Himmat. Both hail from Sanai in Surankote, Poonch. At the time of their arrest, a .12 bore gun was recovered from their possession along with six live cartridges. |
