KKTY organizes hawan for world peace

Kulgam, Nov 9: Kounsarnag-Kramsars Tirtha Trust, Kashmir (KKTY), organized annual Kounsarnag yatra today organsied a hawan on the banks of river Vaishav known as Vaishvika in Hindu scriptures originating from historic Kounsarnag-Kramsars lake for world peace and forgiveness for devastating floods in Jammu and Kashmir Valley.
According to press release, the KKTY activists said that they consider the flooding of Jammu and Kashmir in September as a direct result of natures furry towards populated areas for not respecting the Mother Nature as it was river Vaishav that brought and large scale flooding in Kashmir Valley submerging the entire Srinagar City for several days.
Briefing Media after the hawan Chiarman APMCC Vinod Pandit said that they prayed before the holy river to forgive those who have shown disrespect towards it adding the hawan was also for world peace and bringing sanity among the people to respect nature.
Pandit said that KKTY performed hawan and offered milk to the holy river and sough blessings from Mother Nature. Giving details Senior Journalist and APMCC National Spokesperson King Bharati said that earlier they had organized a yatra to the holy pond to pray for the blessings of Mother Nature which was foiled by some anti social elements adding our purpose was to worship Mother Nature and seek blessings.
Ravinder Pandita, Senior Coordinator New Delhi and NCR who participated in the function said that the hawan saw some emotional moments with Kashmiri Pandits ruing the fact that they were being prevented to continue their traditional and religious activities in their own home land particularly continuing their tradition of worshiping Mother Nature by the anti social elements with one of the Kashmiri Pandits crying while rendering an emotional Kashmiri Bhajan invoking Godess Vaishvika.
The hawan was supported by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) and Harmukh Ganga (Gangbal) Trust.
