Bhairav Jayanti celebrated

Jammu, Nov 9: Bhairav Jayanti celebrated here with religious fervor and gaiety in Jammu and other places as well.
A Prabhat Pheri was taken out on this morning by the devotees of Kaal Bhairav as part of the week-long Bhairav Jayanti celebrations, in which large number of disciple of lord Shiva and Parvati) participated.
The Prabhat Pheri which passed through various parts of the old city besides famous temples including Mahalakshmi temple (Pacca Danga), HanumanTemple at Moti Bazar, Ranbireshwar Temple at Shalamar, Hanuman Temple, Ram Mandir (Purani Mandi), Radha Krishan Temple (Panjtirthi), Gurudwara (Panchayati) Upper Bazar and again culminated at Kaal Bhairav Temple.
Speaking on the occasion, Priest of the Temple, Rumil Sharma said that purpose behind taking out this Prabhat Pheri was the same Lord Vishnu had taken complete earth in three steps from King ball in the reincarnation of Vaman Avtaar.
He said the steps taken in the Prabhat Pheri by the devotees was to resemble the same as Lord Vishnu had to save the people and seek blessings of Lord Vishnu for the welfare of the people all over the Country.
Rumil further said that Bhairav Jayanti will be celebrated and grand Bhandara will organised at Temple premises with devotion and enthusiasm on 15th of November. A day earlier, on November, 14 2014, Pooja Archana would begin in the night long ceremony to invite Devtas in the Bhandara.
He asked the people to light a diva outside their main entrances of houses and shops in the evening from 13th to 15th of November, 2014 to get rid of all types of problems. He also invited people from all walks of life to take part in the Bhandara
