Computer literacy programme for DIET faculty held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 9: First phase of 07 Days Computer Literacy Programme for DIET Faculty was organised by DIET Jammu from November 3-9, 2014 at SIE Jammu. Training-cum Workshop programme was inaugurated by Director School Education Jammu R.A. Inqalabi in the presence of Joint Director (Trainings)/Principal SIE Jammu H.R. Pakhroo, Principal DIET Jammu Mohinder Singh and other faculty members of SIE & DIET Jammu. In total 26 faculty members of DIET Jammu including 07 HODs, 18 Lectures and a teacher attended the training programme. During the programme the faculty was oriented on use of computers in various spheres of life along with its use in teaching learning process & their capacity building. Programme was co-ordinated by Omesh Khar, HOD DIET Jammu and Rajiv Abrol HOD DIET Jammu acted as Associated Programme Co-ordinator. Rajinder Kumar, Research Officer, SIE Jammu; Ravinder Jamwal, Lect DIET Jammu, Akash Khajuria, Teacher SIE Jammu acted as resource persons while as Dinesh Gupta Sr Asstt (Computer trained) helped the participants in practical sessions during the training. On the occasion, Mohinder Singh Principal DIET Jammu also emphasized that whatever is learnt during this workshop must be strengthened at their own ends and should also be used in teaching learning process and also thanked Director School Education Jammu R.A. Inaqullabi and Joint Director (trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu H.R. Pakhroo under whose guidance & supervision the training programme was conducted successfully. JAMMU, Nov 9: After winning two bronze medals yesterday, J&K men clinched a gold in 500 meters race in the ongoing National (men and women) Dragon Boat Championship in Himachal Pradesh today. As per the reports reaching here, earlier, J&K won two bronze medals in men's 1000 meters and mixed 1000 meters races. The competition is organised by Dragon Boat Federation of India in association with Himachal Dragon Boat Association. In all, 25 teams from across the country are participating in this competition. |
