JAMMU, Jan 25: Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic Zeal and gaiety at Gandhi Memorial College Of Education, Raipur, Bantalab Jammu. president (HESK) B.L Razdan was the chief guest on this occasion and prof H.L Misri was the guest of honour, A.K Raina General secretary(HESK) along with Principal(GMCEJ) were among other eminent personalities present at this ceremony. To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held at GMCEJ The students of GMCEJ presented a captivating cultural bonanza focused on patriotism which included number of heart throbbing dances, sang melodiously patriotic songs, which heightened the ambience and added resplendent rhythm to the show, symbolizing our country's rich and unique cultural diversities. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The campus echoed with patriotic fervour as students brought the stage alive with their speeches. Speaking on this occasion president (HESK) Shri B.L Razdan, said that 26th January 1950 was the day on which we became a Sovereign Democratic Republic and the Constitution of free India came into force. He stressed on eradication of Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment. Prof H.L Misri also spoke on this occasion, and said that this day symbolises the unity of the nation and brings together people from different caste, creed and religion. He Also laid stress as how democracy in a country is important, Principal (GMCEJ) Prof. G.L Koul in his welcome address said that every Indian should celebrate this occasion with pride of being an Indian and emphasised the need of imbibing patriotic spirit among the students. |
