Jammu, Mar 5 : Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Unison Cultural Troupe and Sangam Tru Art Production celebrated Holi festival at open Air theatre, Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu on Thursday.
According to press release, the musical play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and Music was composed by Renowned Singer Raju Bajgal. The Program was inaugurated by VK Magotra, Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India.
Gulab Din, President cultural Forum Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department ,J&K Governmen and Lal Din, Romesh Chander, Event Director and JK Raina, Producer Director Films were the Guest of Honor. The programe was commenced with Song "Ho Mubarik Manjri Phoolaon Bhari " , "Chali Barsane Khellen Ge Holi" , "Rang Dari Deo o albelan Main ""Meri Nath Ghari Deyan Shela Sunara Ve " sung by the renowned artistes Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta , Bodh Raj , Zulekha Farid, MCKotwal , Hem Raj , KK Joshi.The Holi Dances "Khari Holi "Ras" and Women Holi Dances with Radha and Krishan were also presented by the student of Music institute.
The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such colorful Festival and highlighted history of 'Holi" and said the "Holi" is the festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair ruptured relationships the Holi is also associated with the Puranic story of Holika, the sister of demon-king Hirany-akashipu. Earlier, Former Regional Director, song and drama division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India ML Dogra and Chairman of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala. Sansthan of BLSKS said on the occasion Holi was a spring festival also known as the festival of colours or the festival of love. |
