Talwara migrants hold protest, submits memorandum to Guv | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 18: Several organizations today jointly staged a dharna in front of Raj Bhawan Jammu to press the government for considering the long pending demands of migrants from Talwara Camp. The demonstrators were led by Anita Thakur, General Secretary JKNPP, Balwan Singh, Chairman (TMAC). Prominent among others who participated in the protest dharna included Jagdev Singh, President (TMAC), Chamel Singh Vice-President (TMAC), Samitra Devi General Secretary (TMAC), S. Paramjit Singh Marshal State President PTU, Pushvinder Singh Manhas Sr. Vice-President Young Panthers, Sewa Singh Bali State General Secretary PTU, Balbir Singh @ Happy Working President District Kathua, Ravinder Jamwal, Yogesh Sharma, Anku Sharma, Naveen Bali, Kamal Bhardwaz and others. The delegation members led by Anita Thakur also submit a memorandum to N.N Vohra, Governor of J&K State in which the migrants urged the Governor for his immediate intervention in their memorandum. Among the major demands were withdrawal of all criminal cases of Panthers Party leaders and the migrants pending before district session judge Reasi since 2007, Provide relief in cash and kind at par with Kashmiri Pandits to all the Jammu Migrants with arrears, Provide the same package to Jammu migrants which has been provided to Kashmir Pundits migrants for their return and rehabilitation in their native villages among other demands. |
