| POJK DPs Fronts to stage protest today | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 28: POJK Displacement Persons Front is going to stage protest demonstration against the PRO, Jammu and Additional Commissioner, Jammu for their anti DPs attitude on April 29.
According to press release, the DPs will assemble at Press Club Ground, Jammu at11 A.M. on 29th April, 2015.
The Union Government of India Sanctioned a Relief/aid Package (Financial) for all DPs families under various components under 33(2)97 settlement dated: 09.08.2000 and conveyed its approval to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for implementation of the above package.
Being Ex-Officio Provincial Rehabilitation Officer he was duty bound to implement the above Financial Package. The PRO Jammu initiated the process of implementation of one component out of four components.
He disbursed about Rs. 100/- crores under component No. II without inviting claim applications from the eligible DP families, through backdoor practice thereby depriving about 58000 families of the financial Aid/assistance sanctioned by the Government of India.
Though the financial package is awe fully dismal. The P.O.J.K. DP Front has already submitted memoranda to the following, urging them to enhance the package amount to a dignified claim at least Rs. 6 Lacs per family against all the components of the package. 1) Union Minister PMO, Dr. Jatinder Singh. 2) Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs of India. 3) Ex-Officio Provincial Rehabilitation, Jammu. 4) Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. 5) Dy. C.M., Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh. 6) State B.J.P. President and Member Parliament Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma. No response has been received till date.
The front led by Rachhpal Singh Chib, The P.O.J.K DPs and Chhamb DPs having voted the BJP to unprecedented victory in the State Assembly and Parliamentary Elections have again being relegated to the bottom as earlier. The N.C. Congress have been wiped out from the power with the heavy vote bank of P.O.J.K. |
