Early Times Report RAJOURI, Apr 28: In two incidents, Nowshera police last night arrested six bovine smugglers while they were clandestinely carrying 12 animals in load carriers. Police sources said acting on a tip-off, Nowshera police station SHO Kuldeep Raj, under the supervision of ASP Rakesh Kumar, laid a naka at Thalka, Nowshera, last night recovered six bovine animals from a TATA Mobile (JK11/6650) which was on its way from Nowshera to Rajouri. Three persons were arrested in this regard. They included Mohammad Sadiq, son of Mohammad Sarwar of Gurdhanpai, Mohammad Araf, son of Mohammad Abdullah of Darhal and driver Mohammad Irfan, son of Mumtaz Hussain of Gurdhanbala. The vehicle has also seized by the police. In an another incident, Nowshera police recovered six bovine animals from the possession of Mohammad Akram, son of Munshi, Mohammad Hussain, son of Ghulam Hussain and Ghulam Mohammad, son of Asrail, all residents of Lam, Nowshera. They had brought these animals from Akhnoor and were on way to Gagrote in Nowshera via Mala Parote road without any permission. Cases in this connection were registered at Nowshera police station. |
