"There should not be any involvement of the police officers in hobnobbing with land grabbers. Any complaint in this regard will be dealt with very strictly," Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Ranger, Danish Rana said here.

During the meeting, the stress was laid by the officer to all subordinate formations to come to the expectations of the general public.
He exhorted upon the police officers to be "very effective" in response to the complaints of the public.
"The complainants should get a patient hearing in the police stations," he said while emphasising on the need to activate the visitor's room in their respective police stations.
"The cases registered at police stations need to be investigated with utmost professionalism and disposal needs to be done on merits in stipulated time, so that the aggrieved persons get timely justice," he said.
The officer also laid stress on cleanliness and maintenance of the police station premises as a mission towards 'Swachh Police Abiyaan' and to effectively maintain the records of the stations, to ensure effective beat policing and for timely disposal of processes.
It was also impressed upon all the officers to chalk out strategies to prevent burglaries and chain snatching in their respective areas.
In the concluding remarks, IGP Jammu conveyed to the officers that their day-to-day performance will be observed minutely, for which they need to implement the instructions imparted in letter and spirit.
