| CGR,SS registers win in Quarter finals | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 28 : 1st Quarter Final of PPCPL held in Cricket Ground of Science College Jammu today. Chenab Gas Royal defeated Chenab Tigers by 7 wickets.
Jagjit Kumar, IPS IGP Security J&K was the Chief Guest on the occasion and was accompanied by Shakeel Ahmed Beig IPS, DIG Jammu General Secretary PPCPL. Jagjit appreciated the efforts of management committee for conducting such a mega event in Jammu. He also wished the players for their success.
Jagjit Kumar IGP also gave away the cash prizes and trophies to the winning team and outstanding players.
In the 1st Session of Quarter Final, which was played between Chenab Tigers vs Chenab Gas Royals. Chenab Tigers won the toss and set a target of 79 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Manik contributed 24 runs and Adam Rishi 13 runs whereas Pardeep Bali of Chenab Gas Royals took 5 wickets, Vishwajeet and Mandeep Singh took 02 wickets each. In reply, Chenab Gas Royals scored 84 runs in just 12 overs and made a easy win in the quarter final match. Vimersh Kaw made highest score of 47 runs. Raman Dutta and Abid Mushtaq of Chenab Gas Royals took one wicket each. Pardeep Bali was declared as man of the match.
In the 2nd Session, Banihal Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat setting the total target of 91 runs with highest score by Umar Alam and followed by Umer Nisar. Druv of Simula Superstars took 4 wickets and Hardip, Dilbag, Sameer, Hilal, Kuldeep took one wicket each.
In reply, Simular Superstars chased the target and made easy win in just 12.1 overs with highest score of 51 runs by Atul and Dhruv 18 runs. Atul was declared man of the match.
Sadiq and Saleem conducted match umpiring in the 1st session and Dimple and J.D.Singh in 2nd session. Proceedings of post match ceremony were conducted by R.P.Sethi and Rajesh Dhar.
Among others Shiv Kumar Chouhan, SP City North, Randhir Singh SP Hqrs. Jammu, Parshotam Sharma DDP RPHQ Jammu, Shahid Pervaiz Dy.SP, Rajesh Gill CPO were present on the occasion. |
